John McColgan Financial Services Ltd. was established in 2004 and is situated in the centre of Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. With over 35 years combined experience, the company is well established and qualified to provide ongoing expert financial advice to its existing client bank and new customers on a range of services.

John McColgan

John has almost 30 years experience in Financial Planning. Having attended the Letterkenny Institute of Technology, John is a Qualified Financial Advisor and also a Fellow of the Life Insurance Association. 

John worked for a large Irish financial services company before setting up his own brokerage in 1991, incorporating in 2004.  

He has a reputation for delivering excellent personal customer care, combined with dependable and confidential service to both individuals & companies.

A native of Buncrana in the Inishowen Peninsula, John now lives in Letterkenny.  He is an avid sports fan, particularly GAA, soccer and cycling.

 Shona Chambers, BA (Hons), QFA RPA

Shona Chambers

Shona Chambers is a Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) and  Retirement Planning Adviser (RPA). She has worked in the financial services sector since 2003.  She earned her BA (Hons) from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, and her professional experience includes working at a number of major Dublin-based financial services firms.  She is also a Certified Accounting Technician, with Accounting Technicians Ireland.  

A native of Letterkenny and living in Ramelton, Shona is actively involved in the local community. Shona is a member of the Donegal branch of Junior Chamber International (JCI) and the Donegal Women in Business Network. Shona also writes a regular column on financial planning issues for the Tirconaill Tribune and Donegal Daily.
